The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a public university of the Netherlands and was founded as the Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven (THE) in 1956 by the Dutch government. Now, the TU/e is a research university specializing in engineering science & technology providing education to more than 10,000 students. The Technische Universiteit Eindhoven has identified three strategic areas: Energy, Health and Smart Mobility.
The TU/e puts emphasis on knowledge commercialisation and translates research results into successful innovations. These serve as a basis for creating new products, processes and enterprises, encouraging students and staff to opt for entrepreneurship.
